Each student was given €100,000 to invest and could select any stock from any market. The shares were purchased last December and sold today at the market price.
Darragh had the best portfolio with an overall profit of €11,298.37. Fintan made a total profit of €10,340, a return of 10.34%. These returns beat the market as world markets have fallen further since December 2008. The DJIA fell by 1.14% during the competition.

Class 4A6 didn’t do as well as 4A3. Only one student made a profit in 4A6 and that was Ranjit with an overall profit of €12.97
